Chapter Seven
At the Beach
The next couple days of my vacation were spent at Anahita’s home. She had told Jer that I could stay over the week before. she made an effort to grab me before I made other plans. “I had to kidnap you from my brother for at least two days!”, she teased as she drove in her convertible. My face became red with embarrassment. “Okay Anahita. You’re right! I am in love with Freddie and can’t wait to see him again. It’s a good thing that you did steal me away. Too much of something is a bad thing.”, I admitted. “Not always. You can never have too much of a good thing.”, she stressed. “That’s true.”, I sighed, leaning my head back against the cushioned seat. I was almost asleep when I felt her tap me on the shoulder to let me know we were there. Her house was spacious. She showed me around. It had three bedrooms and two full baths. One room, she converted in to a storage room. My guest room, where I was to be sleeping, felt comfy. I trailed along the walls and felt my way around it, farmilluaring myself to its surroundings. “I put your bag by the bed.”, she said, giving me directions as to where it lay. I reached in it and took out my jewelry that Freddie gave me.I got the ring on, but the necklace was difficult. I fidgeted around for what seemed like hours trying to get the clasps to go in to place. “Need help with that?”, Anahita asked. “Yes. Please!”, I said annoyed. “I never was good at putting on jewelry.” After the necklace was fasend, we went out the room and down the hall to the kitchen. As we ate soup and sandwitches, she asked me how I was enjoying myself so far. “I’m having a wonderful time! I’ve ever been anywhere outside

My Third Wish
night, I had several pleasant dreams of Freddie. One was of us being in the studio with Brian Roger and John. Another was of Freddie, kissing me lightly on the mouth, and whispering softly, “Come to me darling. It’s all right. I won’t hurt you.” I could control my dreams, even if I always couldn’t be in charge of things that happened in reality. I thought to myself, “No! I’m not ready! I’d rather wait till we are married.” I remember saying that to him in my dream, and he had said with understanding, to take my time. “Even when we are married, and you still aren’t ready, I’ll wait for you.” And then the dream subsided. Waking up, I felt around the bed for Freddie, but he wasn’t there, of course. Dreams are like that, I guess. “Sweetie.” A hand reached out for mine. It was Mrs. Bulsara. “Freddie isn’t here.”, she said knowingly. I blushed. I didn’t know she was there, and I didn’t think I said something out loud that pertained to my dreams! “I know he isn’t. I’ll see him later.”, I said in surprise. “Honey, you were calling Freddie’s name. I assumed you were just starting to wake up. I remember having the sorts of dreams you are having. I was young like you once. “ She wanted to talk to me about my love for Freddie. “You love him. I can tell.” She left me to undress in to new clothes and get ready for my time with the man I loved.
Once downstairs, I ate the breakfast Mrs. Bulsara prepared for me and talked with Mr. Bulsara about my evening out with his son. “He’s such a polite person, a real gentleman.” I commented. “You both brought him up well.” “Thank you.” they both said in unison. Now, it was Mr. Bulsara’s turn to speak about my affection for Freddie. “My dear, you are perfect for our boy.” he began. “I could see how he interacted with you. He’s so good with you.” Mrs. Bulsara cut in. “Bomi, I could tell the instant connection. It’s as if he knew Jacqueline forever.” I couldn’t wait to see Freddie! I felt the same way. From the time we met to the time we departed from one another, we chatted on and intermingled together, I felt like we had been friends in high school or something. I heard a knock on the door and asked Mrs. Bulsara if I could answer it. “Go ahead!” she smiled warmly. When I saw Freddie standing there, I ran straight in to his embrace! “Hello there!” he said in surprise. “I didn’t expect you to answer. How are you?” “Good. Oh Freddie I missed you so!” I cried. “I missed you too darling.
Chapter Five
It All Start At the Piano
Once inside, we ate our food and talked of our piano lessons. “I took piano lessons at “Panchgani.”, Freddie remarked. “Everyone told me I played very well.” “My lessons were short lived. My piano instructor charged too much and she once told my mom that she couldn’t teach me. She said I was playing guitar chords on the piano.” I explained. “Strange.”, he observed. “Guitar chords are just the same as piano ones. Some people are stupid and don’t know what the heck they are talking about.” “She was rude.”, I said in anger. “I could teach you more.”, Freddie suggested. “I’d love that! That will be so much fun!” After our dinner was completed, Freddie instructed me where the piano was situated. This was a large grand piano, that looked as if it would be a burden to lift in to a limo. I wondered how anyone loaded that in the stadium for a concert. I asked Freddie who told me that another piano is usually used. “I don’t take my home piano away from home darling. It’s way too big for that sort of thing. Here. Let me sit beside you.” I felt his hands brush mine as we composed a little nonsense. Fooling around on the piano is always fun! After improvising for a while, I started picking out the chords to “Love Of My Life”, (A favorite Queen song), hoping I wasn’t going to mess up. Concentrating too hard, I stumbled over a chord. “Darling. its d minor on the” Bring it back” part.”, he coached. “Thanks.”, I said, smiling. “What are the other chords to that? ? I never could figure them out.” “You told me you could play by ear. Right? Here, scoot over a little so I can play it to you and then you repeat what you hear.” I could notice a lump forming in my throat. “This is too overwhelming!”, I thought, as I moved over for him. “Is this the way he usually was with the other members of the band, and his staff?”, I asked myself. He wasn’t unkind in his demands however. He was trying to help me out. I played the part back for him, almost perfectly. “It takes practice, darling. It doesn’t come over night. That goes with everything. Cooking on a stove, will some day come natural to you.”, he advised. “I thank you, Freddie. That helps a lot to hear you say that.” I said truthfully. “If I hear one more thank you out of your mouth, I’ll tickle you!”, he teased. “You don’t need to thank me. I love helping people. Now, I’m interested in more of your playing. What else can you play?” I thought for a moment.
Chapter Four A Special Evening Freddie felt terrible about the incident. He couldn’t stop talking about it. Finally, he told everyone that he had to go home and rest. Anahita said to him, “Freddie, she’s not upset at you.” “I know.”, he said with tears in his eyes. “I feel dreadful about making such a scene, and I didn’t mean to hurt her.” “It’s okay Mr. Mercury.”, I said abruptly. “It’s over with. It’s okay. I’m not hurt or angry with you. If I was upset, I would have told you. It’s all right.” Trying to convince him wasn’t easy. He wouldn’t hear of it. He had to have the last word. “Let me make it up to you, darling.”, he said hopefully. “There is nothing for you to make up!”, I objected. “My dear, in my heart, I feel appalled. Please, let me make it up to you. My behavior was shameful, my dear.” I finally gave in, thinking that he would have his way anyhow. “Fine.”, I sighed.” Then, I laughed. “Have it your way!” “Okay. Do you have a nice dress of some sort?”, he asked. I was unable to speak! I wasn’t expecting to go to a fancy restaurant or even to a party, but I told him that I had some dresses and before I knew it, I was changing in to one and saying goodbye to his family, as the limo pulled up. “Have a good time!”, Mrs. Bulsara shouted from the kitchen. “Thanks! I will! See you when I get back!”, I called back. On the way to our destination, we talked about a variety of things, from different types of foods we loved to eat, to the music we liked. We decided on heading to a nearby restaurant called The Shatoe. He said the food there was really good. While inside “The Shatoe, I ordered a hamburger with Swiss cheese and mushrooms on it.. Freddie had a stake dinner, with a small baked potato. As we waited for our meals, we chatted on and on. “So, what’s life like on the road?”, I asked curiously as I sipped on a glass of ice water. “It’s really quite exhausting.” he said with honesty. “You don’t have much time by yourself. Fame isn’t everything darling. There’s always a part of you that longs for privacy. How long have you been a fan of Queen?”, he inquired. “Oh my!”, I amused. “That’s quite a difficult question, for I have been a fan for years now. I’ve loved you all ever since your first album came out.” His voice took on a surprised manner. “Oh! You have our first album? The one that’s just entitled “Queen”?” “Yes.”, I commented. “I didn’t think anyone would rush out to buy it!”, he said in bewilderment. “My favorite song on it is “My Fairy King.”, I added.Perminent Link | Feedback (0)
